Valentine’s Day is upon us once again. Residents of Knoxville already know that the city can be quite romantic, so now is the time to take advantage of all that Knoxville has to offer. When you’re planning your special day with your sweetheart, check out these options to make Valentine’s Day 2017 the best one yet!

Volunteer Princess Cruise

What could be more romantic than a cruise down the river on the Knoxville’s own Volunteer Princess, a luxurious yacht that offers a scrumptious dinner option? The Starlight Dinner Cruise, a two and a half hour long trip, will take you down the river and back, allowing you to enjoy your meal and see the sights along the river as you go. The cruise departs at 6:30 and returns to dock at 9:00.

Next year plan to join the later Sweets and Bites Cruise, a shorter tour that offers hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts. Already fully booked for Valentine’s Day 2017, this popular cruise is sure to return next year.

Valentine’s Food and Beer Dinner

If you and your sweetheart are fans of the rapidly growing craft beer market in Knoxville, you’ll want to book a spot at the Last Days of Autumn Brewing’s Valentine’s Food and Beer Dinner. Last Days of Autumn has partnered with Gypsy Kitchen for a food and beer pairing on Valentine’s Day. The event will run from 6:00 to 9:00 and will feature a shared appetizer, two entrees, a shared dessert and two samplings of Last Days of Autumn’s in-house made craft beer.

Knox Makers: Chocolate Making

If you want to skip dinner and get straight to the Valentine’s Day candy, take your Valentine to Knox Makers Chocolate Making workshop. Grab your candy supplies and head over to this free event to get some tips on turning your ingredients into the most magnificently delicious (and romantic) chocolate creations. Who knows? You might just pick up a new hobby!

Jazz is for Lovers

After you’ve dined by candlelight somewhere, it’s time for the entertainment of the evening. Head over to the Bijou Theater on Gay Street for an evening of jazz with the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra and special guest, vocalist extraordinaire Carmen Bradford. The show starts at 8:00.

The Mill & Mine

If you’re looking for your Valentine’s Day to be a little less subdued and a little louder, swing your sweetheart around to the The Mill & Mine for a show with Christian-leaning alternative rockers Switchfoot and Relient K. Doors open at 6:30, so grab an early romantic meal at one of the many great spots in the Old City.
