Laura has been a part of a real estate family her entire life. She grew up in South Knoxville, and her father started working with the Wood brothers in the early 1970s.
After earning a Master of Business Administration and a law degree from the University of Tennessee, Laura worked for a prestigious local law firm, and then spent several years working in the legal department of an international architecture and engineering firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2006, she obtained her real estate license and worked for a Knoxville real estate firm, Wood Properties, for the past eleven years. During her time there, she was involved with Leadership Knoxville (Class of 2007 and serving on its Board of Directors), Imagination Library (Board of Directors and served as the Chair of the Board), and the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Associates (Class of 2012).
She is proud to continue working with the Wood family by joining Wood Realtors. Her goal is to serve her clients with the same integrity and trust that the Wood family has provided for many years.
When Laura isn’t working in real estate, she spends time with her family of three daughters, husband Mark Heinz, and labradoodle Dolly. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and attending her daughters’ various soccer, dance, piano, and gymnastics events.
