C. Mike Wood
Mr. Wood founded WOOD AGENCY REALTORS, INC. in 1956. He is the Chief Executive Officer and has an active role in the day to day operations of the company.
Mr. Wood has an astounding history of service to our local community and the real estate industry, as well as having served his country in the United States Air Force. Recognition of his accomplishments are as recent as 2007, when a celebration was held for his award as Realtor Emeritus by the National Association of Realtors.
Mr. Wood has served as President, Regional Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Director of the Tennessee Association of Realtors. He has also served as a Director of the National Association of Realtors, and as President and Director of the Knoxville Association of Realtors.
Mr. Wood is currently an active member of the Knoxville Association of Realtors, the Tennessee Association of Realtors, the Realtors National Marketing Institute, and a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of WOOD Brothers Construction Company, and a Limited Partner of WOOD Agency, L.P..
Within our community, Mr. Wood has served on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau, and the Board of Directors for the Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad. He is an active Member of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, a life time member of the South Knoxville Optimist Club, and he is active in his church.
Mr. Wood’s accomplishments in Knoxville range from his involvement in development, construction and sales of over 1,500 new homes and 5,600 resale homes. Mr. Wood was intricately involved in the building of 12 major subdivisions in Knox County. As a general contractor involved in commercial and industrial development, Mr. Wood developed and constructed over 3,500 apartment units in Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina and Texas. Mr. Wood developed and constructed a 328 bed daycare which is home to our assisted living and adult citizens.
Mr. Wood is happily married and he enjoys, fishing, hunting, and believe it or not – working!!!
